Tools

The right tool for
every experiment

Trilobio's modular tool system combines eight lab instruments into one Trilobot. It automatically calibrates, uses, and swaps tools to execute your protocols without interruption.

Overview

Many devices.
One robot.

Each Trilobot can hold up to eight lab tools, ranging from grippers, to pipettes, tube openers, and more. It switches between these tools automatically without additional coding or setup time.
01

Tool rack

Each Trilobot has two tool racks that each hold four tools. The robotic arm has full access to the racks and can change between all tools.

Tool Changer

Seamless integration by design

Trilobot’s tool changing system eliminates manual setup and integration work. Add a tool to the rack and it’s ready to be used immediately.
01
Place your tools into the tool racks. No physical or digital integration required.
02
Industry-first automated tool changer swaps tools while executing research protocols.
03
As your toolset grows, add, remove, or swap your tools however you’d like.
The Perfect GRipper

Designed for precise and reliable handling

The Perfect Gripper safely handles a variety of labware and easily interfaces with other Trilobots and third-party devices.
01
Grabs underneath plates to never drop them, even if the Trilobot loses power.
02
Grabs sides of plates, to both lid/de-lid them and interface with third-party devices.
03
Reliably passes materials between connected Trilobots to scale up throughput.
Pipette Tools

Fast, flexible, and precise pipetting

Trilobio pipette tools deliver ISO-standard precision and can interface with 384-well plates. All without proprietary consumables.
01
Available in P20, P300, and P1000 Single- or Eight-Channel models.
02
Compatible with a variety of tubes as well as 96-well and 384-well SBS/ANSI/SLAS plates.
03
Safely integrates with less costly, universal tips to keep lab costs down.
04
Set custom pipetting parameters to execute liquid handling however you need it.
Autocalibration Probe

Precision starts with perfect calibration

The Autocalibration Probe ensures the robotic arm, the deck slots, and any connected Trilobots are ready for error-free use.
01
Enables automatic calibration of the robot, deck, and connected Trilobot fleets.
02
Powered by the built-in force sensing capabilities of the Trilobot arm.
03
Robot arm also uses pipette tips to sense plate well depth for pipetting accuracy.
Tool Architecture

A growing ecosystem of tools

Trilobio is constantly expanding its library of tools with the goal of automating the entire biology lab.
01
Standardized tool interfaces allow for rapid development of arm- and deck-based tools.
02
Simply add new tools to the tool rack or the deck and they can be used instantly.
03
Trilobio supports an open architecture for third-party tool development.
